Letter #18 "Grandma always made you feel she had been waiting to see just you all day and now the day was complete." ~Marcy DeMaree

Dear G-Ma,

Oh how I love you. You are my inspiration and my light. We have always had a special connection. I love coming to visit you. You always have a funny story to tell and food to feed me. Thank you. Thank you for caring about the little things that matter most to me. I loved looking through all of your jewelry and trying it on. Then one special day you gave me some earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I treasure them so much. I felt so special that you would give me those. Thank you for making me feel like a princess. Thank you for keeping our family together.
Thank you for the dozens of hangers you have made for me. Well, not the hangers themselves but the knitted stuff on the hangers to keep my nice sweaters and shirts from sliding off. They have been such a life saver! You are the perfect homemaker. Yummy food, welcoming home and crafty. Thank you for giving Calin and I our Christmas tree lights.
Thank you for asking me to help you with the Christmas village. I know you appreciate the help but, I love doing it more. It makes me feel needed. Thank you. I love the day after Thanksgiving because I get to come over and build a city. It really is a lot of fun and a tradition I'd like to continue for forever!
I hate not being able to come over every Sunday. Living in Provo has many disadvantages. I miss sitting in the living room catching up with you and the family. Even when I was little I wanted to hang out upstairs with the grown ups. I didn't understand most of the jokes or care much about what was being said but, I loved being a "big girl". Thank you for loving me so much. I love your hugs and kisses. I love you!
