Dear Suzanne Collins,
I just devoured your series of The Hunger Games. I am part of a book club and this month's book was the first in your series, The Hunger Games. I was hesitant to read and had put off both my mom and Calin's suggestion to read it. All I heard about your book is that it is violent. After much peer pressure, I started to read. I would read until 2 in the morning. Huddling close to my book with a dim book light trying not to wake Calin, I couldn't put it down! Thank you for a beautiful imagination. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
The day after I finished the first book I started the second, Catching Fire. I read that one in 24 hours...again staying up until 2am. The third went by just as quickly. I loved all three and will definitely read them all over again. Thank you. Thank you for allowing me to escape into a different world only to be brought back and appreciate the one I really live in. And to all those who have not read these books, READ THEM!!!
